Aeromechanics is a branch of applied mechanics that studiesequilibrium, motion, and control of an elastic body in flight under the influence of air. In this seminar, the overall rotorcraft aeromechanics research activitiesconducted at Intelligent Rotorcraft Structures laboratory in Konkuk University, Seoul, for the last 20+ years will be briefed. The subjects will cover validation of HART (Higher-harmonic Aeroacoustic Rotor Test) I/II rotors, measurementsof HART I/II blade structural properties, development of rotorcraft aeromechanics analysis system, and vibration control of lift-offset coaxial rotorcrafts. International collaborative research called STAR (Smart TwistingActive Rotor) will also be introduced.
