▣ Abstract

Physical Human-Robot Interaction bring the promise of physical augmentation to human users, not only to enhance the capabilities of human users but also to supplement what may be lost, such as in prostheses and assistive or rehabilitation robotics. This research field consists of several major areas, from the design of the interface (the communication mechanisms between the human and the robot) to the robotic intelligence that may actively improve the efficacy of task execution. In this seminar, I will present some of my work in this area, drawing from the examples of several robotic applications.
