8th KSME-SEMES Open Innovation Challenge ‘Young Engineer Group Silver Award’

Kyuhyun Hwang and Hyunjun Han, integrated master's and doctoral students from the research team of Professor Jongbaeg Kim of the School of of Mechanical Engineering, won the silver prize in the young engineer group at the '8th KSME-SEMES Open Innovation Challenge'. The KSME-SEMES Open Innovation Challenge, hosted by the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers and SEMES, Korea's largest equipment manufacturer producing core semiconductor/display equipment, and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, is a project to strengthen cooperation between academia and industry and has been held for eight times now. By developing a low-temperature transfer process technology without structural deformation of vertically aligned carbon nanotubes, the research team presented a source technology that could expand the range of use of the material and was recognized for its excellence.
