Development of highly sensitive flexible tactile sensor based on carbon nanotubes

(2021. 11. 16)

Professor Jongbaeg Kim’s research group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering developed a highly sensitive tactile sensor which was selected as the front cover paper of a renowned nano-engineering journal ‘SMALL’ (Impact Factor:13.281, Top 6.88%, Volume 17 Issue 50).
In this paper, we proposed a flexible tactile sensor using a hierarchical structure with carbon nanotube bundles to achieve high sensitivity and wide sensing range simultaneously. Furthermore, its application as a haptic glove and a multi-directional force sensor was demonstrated.Professor Jongbaeg Kim’s research group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering developed a highly sensitive tactile sensor which was selected as the front cover paper of a renowned nano-engineering journal ‘SMALL’ (Impact Factor:13.281, Top 6.88%, Volume 17 Issue 50).
