Yonsei University Graduate School offers one-on-one help with all aspects of English academic writing, in particular with the writing process of graduate thesis/dissertations and submissions for publications to academic journals/conferences.

가. 사업유형 Service Overview

※ 서비스를 제공받은 이후 당해학기 휴학을 하는 경우에는 지원받은 비용을 자비 반납해야 함

If you take a leave of absence for the same semester after receiving the service, you must return the applied fee at your own expense.

나. 제출서류 Required document

1) 지도교수 추천서 서명본 (붙임 참조, PDF 또는 JPG, 온라인 접수 시 업로드)

※ 네이티브가 교정작업을 진행하므로 ?? 파일로 작성중인 논문은 Microsoft 사에서 제공하는 HWP-Converter를 사용하여 MS-WORD로 포맷 변환 후 각주 등 오류가 없는 지 확인 후 제출(변환 MS-WORD 파일의 줄간격은 1.0~1.5 설정)

Document must be submitted in the format of MS-WORD (line spacing 1.0~1.5 setting)

다. 신청기간: 공지일부터 사업예산 소진 시까지

Application period: From the date of announcement until the business budget is exhausted

3. 신청시 유의사항

가. 본 사업 신청 학생은 학기 중 재학상태를 유지하여야 함 (서비스를 제공받은 이후 당해학기 휴학을 하는 경우에는 지원받은 비용 전액 자비 반납해야 함)

Students taken this service must maintain their enrollment status during the semester. If you take a leave of absence for the same semester after receiving the service, you must return the applied fee at your own expense.

나. 교정 및 코칭 비용은 대학원에서 외국어학당에 직접 지급하며, 해당 비용 중 일부는 학생에게 장학금을 지원하는 형식으로 이뤄짐 (학사포탈 내 장학금 수혜 내역으로 기재되어 학기말에 장학금 지급 안내 메일을 받을 수 있으나 실제로 해당 장학금은 학생계좌가 아닌 외국어학당으로 이체됨)

Proofreading and consultation fees are paid directly from the graduate school to the foreign language institute, and the part of fees are provided in the form of scholarship support to students (listed as scholarship benefits in the academic portal). Student may receive the payment information via e-mail at the end of the semester.

다. 서비스는 접수순 지원을 원칙으로 하며, 학생들은 학년도 기준 최대 1회 지원받을 수 있음

- 예산 제약이 있을 경우 4단계 BK21 선정학과 소속 대학원생을 우선 지원함

- 예산 제약이 있을 경우 학과별 고른 지원을 위해 지도교수·학과별 기지원 내역을 고려하여 추가 상한을 적용할 수 있음

The service is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. And student can receive up to one time service in one academic year.

- In case of budget constraints, priority is given to students enrolled in the graduate program that conducts 4th BK21 project.

- In case of budget constraints, additional restrictions can be applied in order to provide equal opportunities to students in the graduate program.

라. 교정을 받고자 하는 논문은 10,000 단어를 초과할 수 없으며, 제출 분량이 이를 초과할 경우 교정서비스가 불가할 수 있음. 지원 금액은 교정 및 코칭 제공사항에 따라 학생별로 상이할 수 있음.

Thesis for proofreading cannot exceed 10,000 words, and services may not be available if the amount exceeds this. The amount of support may vary by student depending on the amount of thesis proofreading and consultation

마. 다음의 경우에는 서비스를 제공하지 않음

1) 신청정보 누락, 제출서류가 진단평가를 수행할 수 없을 정도로 충분하지 않을 경우

2) 진단평가 결과 한정된 시간에 교정서비스를 수행하기 어렵다고 판단되는 경우

3) 진단평가 결과 교정이 필요하지 않다고 판단되는 경우

4) 기타 서비스 제공이 부적절하거나 불가하다고 판단되는 경우

Services are not provided in the following cases

1) In case the information of the application is omitted or the submitted documents are not suitable to perform preliminary review for consultation

2) When it is determined by the preliminary review that it is difficult to perform consultation service due to time constraints

3) When it is determined that by the preliminary review that proofreading/consultation is not necessary

4) When it is determined that provision of services is inappropriate or impossible

바. 번역(한국어 → 영어) 서비스는 제공하지 않음

Translation (Korean → English) service is not provided

사. 사업예산 소진시점까지만 지원함

Service will be provided until the business budget is exhausted
