▣ 초 록

Thermoelectric (TE) materials enable solid-state conversion of low-grade heat into electricity without any by-products or noise. To harness thermal energy from heat sources undergoing shape or dimensional changes, such TE materials must withstand significant mechanical deformation without compromising their harvesting efficiency. However, the material-level trade-off between deformability and TE performance presents a hurdle against sustainable thermal energy harvesting. Here, we address the challenge by simultaneously enhancing the stretchability and TE efficiency of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) by rearchitecting their network. By incorporating low-molecular-weight polymeric dopants and ionic liquids, we introduce additional free volume in the debundled SWCNT network to achieve ~170% stretchability, while improving the TE figure of merit (zT> 0.1). Advanced by such unprecedented pair of mechanical deformability and high TE efficiency, our highly deformable TE material is further tailored to highly viscoelastic ink to manifest directly writable 3D platform for thermal energy harvesting and temperature sensing. Such material- and system-level innovations mark a significant progress towards leveraging thermal energy in a wide range of practical applications from wearable electronics to Peltier thermoregulation.
